Stephen is currently a music composition professor at UNCC Charlotte. As a composer, his music has been performed in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Fontainebleau Chateau, Seoul National University, Arizona State University, The Royal Conservatory of Music, and New York University. His music has been performed by ensembles and artists such as the Prague Phiharmonia Orchestra, Imani Winds, Hanzhi Wang, and The Gemini Duo. 

 

Stephen has 4 college degrees in music, including a masters of music composition degree from Mannes School of Music in New York City, and a doctorate degree in music composition from the University of Toronto. My research for my doctoral degree was focused on defining "atmospheric music" while also cultivating my own compositional style of music that incorporates many different musical influences. His thesis on defining atmospheric music was also approved by Donnacha Dennehy of Princeton University. Stephen has cultivated a musical style and studied this phenomenon know as atmospheric music for an over a decade.
