Sara Behnam serves as a Student Salon Co-Coordinator for TEDxUNC Charlotte's Salon on November 16th centered around sustainability. 

An undergraduate student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Health & Medical Humanities. Sara is actively involved in undergraduate research spanning molecular biology, wildlife ecology and women’s reproductive health. As President of UNC Charlotte’s chapter of the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA), she is deeply committed to advancing women’s health, fostering mentorship, volunteering and driving community engagement. 

Drawing from her background in research, student leadership and clinical experience, Sara plans to pursue a career in medicine with a specialization in anesthesiology.
