About Salon Events
While our annual conference brings a broad range of ideas to the main stage, the TEDxUNC Charlotte Salon series offers smaller, intimate gatherings designed to keep the conversation going year-round.
Unlike our multi-topical main event, each 60- to 75-minute Salon dives deep into a single theme. Featuring brief talks, dynamic presentations, and active small-group discussions, Salons bring students, faculty, and community members together to engage directly with the ideas shaping our world.
What to Expect at a Salon Event:
- Focused Themes: Explore specific subject areas—ranging from global sustainability to community health—one topic at a time.
- Interactive Format: Participate in open dialogue, ask questions, and collaborate with speakers and fellow attendees in an informal setting.
- Community Connection: Connect with local leaders, researchers, and peers between our main annual events.
Join us at our next Salon to engage in meaningful dialogue and spark new connections within the Charlotte community!
